I’m going to take this as a type of restaurant, in which case, I love South Indian / Sri Lankan cuisine.
Why? Because it’s homely, warm, spicy hot, delicious and full of aromas and flavors, that will take you on a taste experience rollercoaster!
Disclaimer – any ill feeling after any spicy food, that includes non-spicy-hot food, is a result of your digestive system not being equipped for such spices. Your digestive system has not been exposed to the regular intake of highly spiced food. Not because the food makes people poo! I hate this misconception and it’s pretty insulting to be associated with making people crap all the time. People who regularly, as in daily, or at least a few times a week, will eat curries and other spicy dishes, will not experience digestive discomfort or dysfunction of any sort. As I am an Anglo-Indian, and eat curries regularly, and have eaten curries for all my life, with no ill effect!
Please end the negative narrative around people’s cultures. We share this world together. Food is for everyone!
